MMC PROGRESS AS OF FEBRUARY 14, 2012

Progress is really being made at the MMC! Concrete was poured in the administrative side this weekend, volunteers have recently completed the manmade stone facade on parts of the building's exterior, and stud walls are going up in the warehouse for showers, utility rooms, etc! Sign your volunteer group up today to be a part of this progress!

Volunteers from Bellevue Bapitst Church, Cordova, are working on the Missions Mobilizatio Center this week to apply the stone to the facade.

March 17, 2011 - Windows being installed in the MMC by volunteer labor! Thank you, Tennessee Baptists!

Please be in prayer for those impacted by the Japan earthquake today. Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief leadership is monitoring the situation closely.

Based on the SBDR International Response plan, Baptist Global Response (BGR) will take the initial lead in assessing the situation and how Southern Baptists can best respond. BGR has Baptist partners in the area who are moving to assess the damage even now. It is unknown at this point if volunteers will be needed. If so, AL is the first state convention on call during March. TN is the first state on call during the month of May each year. However, a large volunteer response may necessitate trained personnel from multiple states being involved in the effort.

Your Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief staff will continue to keep you informed on this situation. More detailed information, as it is available will be posted to TBC website, www.tnbaptist.org.

Volunteers have been working diligently to enclose the MMC so work can be done on the inside this winter. Look at the progress! The neon green color is where the contrasting stone will be installed once funds are available to purchase the supplies.

Progress is being made on the house at the MMC site in Mount Juliet! Look what's been done in the last month!

October 28-30-2010, more than 30 volunteers from several different associations in West TN worked to lay brick for the Mission House located on the MMC property! How exciting to drive up and see the progress! Thank you, Beulah Baptist Association volunteers for the beautiful job you did on the house!

The roof of the MMC is being intalled!

Not only are we building the new Missions Mobilization Center (MMC), but we are remodeling a home on the property to serve as a bunkhouse for volunteers working on the MMC. Here's a big shout out to volunteers from Long Hollow Baptist Church for installing the new windows so we can brick the house! Pics will be posted on the Mission House Photos page!
